HER BROKEN WING
It's hard to fly with a broken wing
It's hard to laugh when hearts fail to sing
We're makin' it through life's constant storms
'Cause we have our love to keep us warm
Memories of a distant war
Slammed tight door after door
We've had to walk, we've had to crawl
What I've done best was learn to fall
She picked me up when I was down
Rode beside me from town to town
We traveled light, we had nuthin' to bring
Yet she still smiles with her broken wing
It's hard to fly with a broken wing
It's hard to laugh when tear drops sting
Dry those eyes, hear this lullaby
You give my heart the wings to fly
She picked me up when I was down
Rode beside me from town to town
We traveled light, we had nuthin' to bring
Yet she still smiles with her broken wing
... Yes she still smiles with her broken wing.
