Does one have to die to experience death?
Visually, we have seen the devastation.
Spiritually, we have grieved.
Physically, we have separated.
Literally, we have walked through the valley of death.
Internally, we have denied the reality of life.
Rebirth?
Transformation?
Each day,
Each day.
Through the pain we know,
We live.
This is life, as we the Viet Nam Veterans know it.
The death of war is un-natural
There is nothing to compare it to,
There is no bridge that spans the gap
To one side or the other,
both step off to darkness.
