Flashbacks of smiles, dreams of emptiness
A fallen soldier so far from home
A young son, to a brave man
Footprints left in our oceans sands
A fishing pole, a Sunday ride
Many questions on his mind
Once protected by a father's shield
Grins of love that all could feel
Flashbacks, memories, flowing tears
Day after day, year after year
Written words to family and friends
Praying daily for this war to end
"I don't know if I'll make it home
Without you all I feel so alone"
A victim of war a soldier with pride
He loved his country for which he died
Now missing from our future dreams
Saddened families on each they lean
Heroes now missing, we sing their song
