HEROES

Thousands upon thousands, at final rest
Gave their lives, they did their best
They came from all over, fighting the wars
So many perished, scores upon scores

All ages, all races, all Heroes, all proud
The sound of TAPS plays brisk and loud
Their heads held high, as they defended us all
We honor these Vets who answered the call

The price was freedom, that we all enjoy
A gift from so many who were only young boys
Never to be forgotten, never put aside
We must always remember. remember with pride

As we all go about our daily routines
Think about them, for they have not seen
This beautiful country, they fought to save
It's yours to cherish, from those who gave

Shed a tear, say a prayer
Show them you care
As you walk be proud, because you are free.
Looking down from above they'll be sure to see
