A native of Brooklyn N.Y., Matthew now lives in Pinellas Park Florida. He served in Vietnam with the 1/327th infantry, 101st Airborne Division in 1967 and was wounded in action on August 18, 1967, He is the recipient of the Bronze Star with V and Purple Heart and retired as an E5.
