Raging BullSHAPE OF ANGER

Like a red flag to a black bull;
Pounding ground
Bellowing roar.
Uncontrolled sound.

The bull’s eyes glow, the mouth it foams.
It snaps its head to and fro.
Its muscles writhe as tension grows.

Tis me I see.

Author’s Note: Ron, James and I were patients in St. John of God Hospital in Melbourne, Victoria. We were attending a class about Anger Management and were asked to describe in prose or poetry form, what shape anger would be if we could actually see it. After discussion, the three of us decided on the image and then proceeded to describe it in our own words. These words are what I came up with.
