THE POET’S CHILDREN

As poets, we write and write and sometimes produce wonderful and wondrous word-children; occasionally we are blessed to give birth to a glorious gem. It is these gems that make the profession of the Poet that much more bearable and worthwhile because, by its very nature, it is a lonely profession.

To have a person understand one’s words is exciting but to excite the emotions and soul of another person by those words is to be honoured with inexplicable joy.
