Gentleman Steve Brandenburg and friendTake a piece of nature’s wood,
Remove the knobs and bark,
Centre it on a turning lathe;
Thus starts a piece of art.

With skills of a master artisan
The wood takes on another life;
No longer just a piece of wood,
But art made with chisel’s slice

The poetry that Steve creates
Is formed with wood and word;
Thus in our mutual love of art,
Our friendship’s in concord.
