YOUR MEDAL
Your medal… yes the “Scar”
tells me that you’re one
who fought in lands afar
until your war was done
But it’s not really done, is it?
You still live it every night.
It’s like an epileptic fit
that I can’t help you fight.
But I am your mate, my friend;
and I’ll be always at your side
until the dreadful nightmares end
and into death’s sweet sleep you slide!
