THEY GO ON…
Some say they are not afraid, but turn away from their brother’s eye,
An inside battle rages; a tear slips down though they say they will not cry
Their sacrifice stains the sand, the color of blood runs deep into the surface
We say we’ll not forget, they wonder if we realize what they have done for us.
One cries…
One dies…
And the brave go on.
Waiting, watching, the day stretches long, the moments of life passing by them
But not the way they wanted, not the way they’d hoped their life they’d spend
And though they tried to watch their brother’s back sometimes it was not enough
Only through eternity will they ever see that their brother knew and forgave with love.
They cry…
They die…
They are brave… and they go on.
