THE ABYSS

I have seen the abyss
and the abyss has seen me
With eyes as dark as coal
She searched my very soul
Her eyes scanned mine for weakness
for any sign of fear
and when she found it lurking
she stopped awhile to leer
Pointing with her finger
she daubed my chest with blood
then thrust her wretched claw
into my heart and pulled and tugged
She knows now where to find me
she knows where fear resides
she knows she only needs to point
there is no where left to hide
Unleash hell I beg you
let me taste the sweet bitterness of death
I am a walking deadman
Let me close my eyes and die
For in the eternity of blackness
the memories will surely pass
then no longer may she haunt me
with her excusing piercing eyes
