Stephen, a Viet Nam Combat Veteran, served with the 5/46 Americal Division in 1969-70
Born and raised in San Diego, he moved to the North Coast after his tour in Viet Nam and attended Humboldt State University in 1979. He lives in the small beach town of Manila, California and has written about war for many years.
A writer and poet, Stephen sharpened his literary skills and produced "The Mad River Anthology" on KHSU Radio. Former poetry editor of the "North Coast View", and host for "Poetry at the Jam" at the Jambalaya, he has published two volumes of poetry as well as numerous magazine and newspaper articles.
