THE RELENTLESS STORM

I am the spirit of the storm in the distance
Rolling in
Thunderin’ in
With lightning flashing
Threatening your very existence

With the power of the heavens, you I hold
Your very own soul
In the palm of my hand
Surrounding you
Pulling you into the mouth of the storm

Do not underestimate my power, for you see
I can swallow you whole
Make your head roll
Take your breath away
Sucking the very life from you, so easily

I can fill you with such awesome wonder of me
Tearing your skies asunder
With deep-throated thunder
Drowning you
Pushing your head down, holding it under me

I can scare the very hell out of you
With my tireless energy
With my powers that be
With the forces of nature
Undulating, coming quickly on top of you

In the eye of me, I can bring you such peace
In the calm of the storm
Make you feel warm
Kiss you with serenity
Make you see clearly the very heart of me

Breathing deeply, you can still smell me in the air
Still thundering out there
My lightning splashing
Like a light bulb flashing
A portent of more still yet to come, so beware

This is definitely not the storm’s end
I will inundate you, friend
Shoving against you
With lightning and thunder
Rocking your world again, and yet again!
