LEMONADE MOMENTS

When life hands you a lemon,
add sugar and water, too;
plop in a bunch of ice cubes
till Voila!… you’ve got a brew.

Now, make some patch of grass
your lounge beneath the sky,
then lay back and relax
and watch the clouds pass by.

Just wallow in that present,
the birds… the clouds… the trees,
while sipping on your nectar. . .
Ahhh… heaven-in-the-freeze!

Ponder on your troubles
but only when you’re through
breathing-in that moment,
God’s gift to me and you.

Repeat with all life’s lemons,
squeezed hard until they’re dry,
and don’t forget the sweetener,
some water and blue sky!

Then, ahhh, before you know it,
the time-out will be gone
but not the glow bestowed from it
to help you carry on.
