FROM DOUBT TO FAITH

God is working in our lives
Whether you realize it or not
He is the one who made you
And everything you’ve got.

He knows the color and number
Of every hair upon your head
Decided when you’d be born
And knows the day you’ll be dead.

He has ultimate knowledge
Of everything you do,
Of every lie you’ve told
And every word that’s true

He knows when you’ll awake
And when you’ll go to bed.
God is a part of our lives,
So get it through you head.

One day the Lord will return
To whisk His children away;
And if you are not ready,
You’ll wish you were that day.

And if you’re reading this after
That day has come and gone,
If you have not surrendered,
You’ll know that you were wrong.

You’ll wake up in the morning
And your family won’t be there
You may think this is all a joke
But, soon, you’ll be aware…

Aware that they aren’t coming back
No matter how hard you try
To find out where they’ve gone
And you’ll ask the question, “Why?”

The answer to your question
Will be revealed soon enough
Although you’re having trouble
Believing in all this stuff.

So let me convince you now,
Before you are fed with lies,
That the anti-Christ has come…
So open up your eyes.

It all began with an angel
Almost perfect in every way,
Except he was filled with pride
And now he’ll have to pay.

He thought himself God’s equal
And envied the Father’s throne,
Defying God’s authority
And worshipped himself alone

So, this angel of the pit,
Was cast by God down to earth
To the beautiful Garden of Eden
Where thus began his evil work

Convincing Eve that God had lied,
He worked his wiles upon her
Using greed to his own need
Which caused her now to wonder.

Eve saw the fruit as pleasing
Temptation was riding high
“Perhaps the serpent was right,” she thought
“And surely I won’t die!”

So, she took the fruit to eat
And she shared with Adam, too
Now knowing good from evil,
They feared what their Lord might do.

“Don’t eat the fruit of that tree!”
God warned, “or you’ll be doomed to die!”
His words came back to haunt them.
Now naked, they tried to hide.

But God knew their every move
As with everything He made
You can no more hide from Him
Than the green from the grass’ blade.

No longer could He trust them
To tend His garden with care,
Se He banished them from Eden
‘Cause the Tree of Life stood there…

For if they ate of that tree forever,
They’d live forever in sin
Trying to hide from the Lord
And their fellowship would end.

The Lord knew the instigator…
The serpent… that evil one
So, He doomed him to his belly
Until his life was done.

“You and Eve will be enemies
As will your offspring and hers
And you’ll strike upon his heel
But he’ll crush your head in turn.

For a blow to the head is deadly
But not a bruise to the heel.”
This foreshadowed his defeat
Which God would soon reveal.

God is working in our lives…
Way back then and even now
And He knows which part you’ll play
Although you don’t know how.

So read the bible, start with John,
Which will show you Jesus Christ
Then Rejoice that He’s at work
In the world and in your life.
