honest to the core
a self-made man some have defined
as cruel, rude and more.

A poet, Aussie, friend, and vet,
playful as a cub,
who’s kind enough to share his work
with poets in our club.

A seeker of the truth, for sure
if any truth there is;
who writes from many points-of-view
but vary rarely his.

A questioner of all he sees
who loves a hot debate
who challenges what we believe
and thus our mental state.

A man who’ll knock you down a notch
if you get out of hand,
then pick you up and dust you off
and hope you understand.
