Author’s Note: This sequence of poems was written during the 1990-1991 War with Iraq which coincided with the end of a personal and very difficult war of a different nature.
Judith lives in Auckland, New Zealand where she runs a Live Poetry Venue which takes up much of her time as it includes an annual Poetry Festival and the publication of an anthology of Auckland Poets who have the opportunity to participate in live readings during the Festival. She is the co-ordinator of Poetry Live and Four-by-two Publishing based in Grey Lynn, New Zealand. As a consequence of these time intensive activities, Judith rarely seeks publication of her own works unless specifically requested.
