Global gangs and small groups have submerged themselves right under our very eyes.
Suicide bombers out on the town dressed up in a civilian disguise.

They hide away their terror as they peek through the bloodstains on a curtain,
And the earth has buried bones while we are carried on their beast of burden.

It’s easy for them to dehumanize their victims as something obscene.
Killers have no conscience; in their eyes all innocent faces are unseen.

It’s impossible for soldiers to combat ghosts who never show their face.
If we knew when our enemies would strike, we would wait for them in that place.
