Christmas is a time when I think of peace so far away
Shaking hands in goodwill and linking that with Christmas day
Christmas in the army is where different dreams come true
As soldiers we appreciate the things we’re going through
Camaraderie is the spirit that each one of us can bring
There’s a reason why we fight and die for everything
Soldiers have long lists of things; their needs and greed some might say
Some expect them while some reflect on them at Christmas Day
The greatest gift this Christmas is peace in the world we live
Happy Christmas one and all, is a soldier’s dream to give.
