9-11: WHERE ARE YOU?
Dear God so full love, you created everything good and bad.
Every time I think about what happened I feel disturbed and sad.
Yet your voice is there within my despair; so much of You is there.
Dear God, so beautiful are you that you can love those who did this.
So forgive me if on September the ninth I might clench my fist.
My heart breaks when I think about all of those lives lost, it’s not fair.
Dear God you know everything before it happens, please protect us.
I still see all those faces gripped by terror and covered in dust.
Nine eleven for me was when we looked at the crucified Christ.
Dear God we are pleased to know you exist even when you’re absent.
Your presence there on that terrible day was powerfully sent.
As I look at those images of hurt it reminds me of you.
Dear God heal us and keep us focused on your love that conquers all.
If we can forgive and forget then all our enemies shall fall.
Because of you we have hope and we remain an image of you.
Dear God help us to understand the people who did what they did.
Nine eleven is a memory of when the whole world went and hid.
Its time to come out of the darkness and let our lives all renew.
