SHIELDS
Assassination of an US Citizen by a presidential decree
It could happen to anyone it could happen to you or me
No indictment, no charge, no defense nor a day in court
Gossip, hearsay, a whim, a state secret ending in a mort
Such raw power over all humans as over life and death
The authority is absolute on whom gets the next breath
May we ask why or when or where or who? We may not
Is there any power that is greater than this man’s plot?
It matters not whether good or bad or who they are kin to
On the assassination list no discussion will be entered into.
