COMING OF AGE

In the gospel according to crank, is it God or our dealer we thank? Photo ©Copyright 2009 by John-Ward Leighton And while on the way to pray, could we please have another day. Photo ©Copyright 2009 by John-Ward Leighton When will it happen,
that magical moment,
when all is revealed?
The nirvana that we all seek
bound up in the charade
that is the human intercourse.
That moment when we
understand all
and step out into the light.
When the sties in our eyes
fall away and we understand
the truth.
When courage is an everyday event
and to make our souls sing
as we endeavour to always do the right thing
without thought of reward
or praise
to question our intent.
When we stand with those
who have felt the lash
of a cruel economic justice that has thrown
them into the trash.
When good fuelled by our righteous rage
signals our very late
coming of age.
