flip flop
while i’m out
on my trite trot

down the street we go
passing each other
to and fro
admiring our images
in the glass
as we pass

i’m for coffee and treat
she is for the very happy
young man
that she is to meet
on the street

i carry on
there is no need to stop
and ponder the music
in the receding sound of
of the
clip clop
of her
flip flops
