ANTHROPOMORPHIC

and like my dog
I turn my head to the side
in puzzlement.

I say the word
and it sticks
out either side of my mouth
like a too big bone.

I say the word again
as a command
and my dog wags his tail
and looks at me confused.

What new game is this Boss?
he seems to ask
not sure what to do
but game for the task.

I wonder sometimes
if he can read my mind
or is it just the way
I shake my behind.

Anthropomorphic,
is this a new game
of fetch
the ball or stick?

Who knows
what or if my dog is thinking
when he cuts a fart
and leaves the room stinking.

But I swear he’s
like a small boy laughing
snickering in mid snick
