Lou J. Klaiber
OUT IN THE WOODS
it started rainin’
as i was paintin’
no canvas
just a house
that i live in
and grey sky fell
wet with rain
and wind told me to remember
that a world lies
beyond these oaks
and pines
and many places i have never seen.
world
you are a helluva place
for old men
that saw some
but not all
of you.
helluva fine place.
I hope we get a clear sky for the eclipse of the moon.
tonight.
