I CRY BECAUSE...

I am crying
for those gone
long ago.!

stillness
...... and graves weeping
silence!
...... covering our war,

and young lives!

I am an old soul
living a past!

I have no politics
............ no future
... no opinions
anymore.

No answers!
... Just
A hand
salute! as war begins
again.

I cannot 'Welcome Home'
those innocents
who stand by,
unknowing.!

... and quietly
afraid.

I can only raise my hand.
Salute!
and... wish them.
well.
