6,600 REASONS TO SALUTE THE OFFICERS THIS MEMORIAL DAY
They made the hard calls, in hot moments, far from home, in the darkness of war, as I cupped a hot Camel cigarette in my hand, and told the boys… “Where Sir goes! we go!”
It was the young Officers who had to make the calls for all of us. I wish to remember the 6600 young Company grade Officers, who gave their lives in the war in Vietnam.
This Memorial Day is for them. I shall pray for them.
who led us all in that war in Vietnam.
We have never really thanked you, Trav! … And you Poppa! and all the young Officers who took our lives into their decisions, and made those decisions, and ohhh…! ……… God… you were young, just like us.
I thank you now.
I have many Brothers here, of the many stripes of the ranks of the enlisted. I ask you to think of these Officers this Memorial Day. I hope you will agree that it is time that we thanked them, for being with us, and doing their best. It took all of us… ALL of us… to make it here to the 2003 Memorial Day!
Hand Salute Brothers!
God Bless All of you…!
