WHO AM I?

I am the son...
... of a father, who doesn't love himself
... of a mother, who discovered love late

I am the grandson...
... of a grandfather, who founded churches
... of a grandmother, who spoke in tongues

I am the descendant...
... of kings, prophets, templars, and saints
... of slaves, heretics, brigands, and sinners

I am the child...
... trying to impress his father
... seeking solitude at the top of a tree

I am the vanguard...
... protecting a nation
... calling for reform

I am the angel...
... of death, sweeping into wreak havoc
... of life, pulling a boy out of a wrecked car

I am the student...
... fidgeting in the corner to much energy
... leading the class, explaining what the teacher can't.

I am he who...
... walks in the darkness
... seeks the light

I am the one...
... who asks, "Why?"
... given the answer I seek

Who am I?
... to much to label
... to little to be recognized.

Who am I?
Just me.
For if you ask, I can't explain.
