SPIRIT WOLVES
Life must be good
They are back
My two guardians
Protecting me and the house
The spirit wolves
The cats now avoid the house
They scurry through the yard
Chasing mice and squirrels
They watch the house afraid
The spirit wolves
I like having them here
They tell me I’m on the path
Where the creator wants
But where to go from here
The spirit wolves
The raven is back also
Yelling at me, giving direction
Take care of children
Though mine are gone
The spirit wolves
Protect, help, aid
Though my body is scarred
Though my mind is wounded
Though my spirit carries damage
The spirit wolves
I am happy.
