A PATRIOT CRIES
A patriotic boy of only five
Waiting for his father to return
Watches as a protestor spits
And a patriot cries
A young warrior burns drug plantations
Fighting for his life he kills
An American agency man
And a patriot cries
Rioter burn the city of Angels
Soldiers walk the streets
Citizens treated like animals
And a patriot cries
Twin sisters are stabbed in the back
The world watches in silence
The twin sisters die
And a patriot cries
Citizens call for vengeance
“Send the military in”
But won’t let their child serve
And a patriot cries
A flag flies off a speeding truck
It is run over by the next car
black tread mars the red, white, and blue
And a patriot cries
