VALERIE
I met a very special lady
Just the other day
And even though she's younger
Is like my MUM was in many ways
Her outlook and philosophy on life
Is very positive and precious
This is a rarity these days
Especially in our modern life
She has a loving husband
Of some fifty years
Who will shed many tears?
When the time is nigh
You see she is very ill
And only found out today
But she's vowed to keep on going
Until the trumpets sound
She has three sons from her marriage
But the youngest is doing it hard
For he never thought his Mother
Would leave him alone in the yard
It takes a long time to get over
But it does get better over time
When once you know she's happy
And no longer in pain
Keep the family all together
By remembering what she's done?
Then stand up PROUD and TALL
And say thank you for being our MUM
