WHY?
Why do we cast our lines into different streams,
If not to pursue the spontaneity of variable dreams,
Enjoying the mystery; the rewarding surprise,
The great satisfying adventure each day might devise?
We conquer the high mountains; explore deserts and plains,
Build monuments and buildings great highways and trains.
Ever pursuing our quests over the next beckoning Hills,
Leading to glory and gain, disappointments and thrills.
The big fish that we seek we throw back as they’re caught,
To provide adventures anew more goals to be sought
Spokes in the wheel connected to the rim and the hub,
The spiral and fulcrum the cocoon and the grub.
Yet humbled we muse as on the toilet we sit,
Knowing like all other beings we all have to shit.
