WHEN LIFE IS OVERCAST
Happiness is a brief intrusion,
In suffering that will persist,
For contentment is an illusion,
Born by those who truths resist.
Past times shape your present,
That in your mind memories cling,
Memories may not be pleasant,
Thus fear to you mind they bring.
But if you face them in the present,
You can rectify your past,
For they are simply thoughts in essence,
And can be made not to last.
By choosing new thoughts more pleasant,
When life is overcast.
