WHAT IS MY TASK?

What is my task: to satisfy me,
To centre myself: be the highest tree?
I am the servant of all who might like to read,
to gather some truth to satisfy need.
Greatness was the dream of a small boy,
That wisdom such thoughts now have destroyed.
For self greatness is not the goal to achieve,
Tis a far greater goal to love and believe,
That kindness when given but kindness receives,
That not all that one knows is all that he sees
That giving is better than taking, and faith,
In yourself and your purpose will always be safe,
For the spirit of life in your body will dwell,
So long as your thoughts are honest as well.
