WHAT IN THE WORLD…?

What in the world matters,
Other than love of life,
Love of those who love you;
Laughing at the strife.
So many hit rock bottom,
Giving far too much,
But the grasping hand is empty:
Nothing in its clutch.
For all the wounds you suffer
Joy reaches you tenfold,
For warmth is far more precious
Having felt the cold,
Thus greater are the treasures
We store as we grow old.
