WHAT A GIFT
What a gift it is that we can say anything we please,
Though it may well disturb, and make you ill at ease.
But the words I write are never meant to cause another harm,
But I can’t control another’s thoughts to keep him cool and calm.
You may blame me for your anger, yet the anger it is yours,
You may blame me for the feelings that inside your body gnaws.
I can’t be held accountable for the reactions that you choose,
You can laugh it off or take a stroll down the avenue of blues.
If you don’t like what I’m saying then that’s your free point of view,
It matters not to me, my friend; it is simply down to you.
But if you want to use me as your outlet, then surely, go ahead!
I have never yet been worried by what someone else has said.
So keep the faith and follow truth wherever you might go,
And maybe one day we will win against the common foe.
