UNTUTORED TUTOR
One comes to terms with things that weigh one down
One finds a way to cope with all that’s wrong
And gains in strength to see another frown.
Who does not know the words of such a song?
Most folk are trained to think a certain way
While I devised my verse from my own book
That no one understood what I did say.
For most of what I said they all mistook
For nonsense, since they did not understand
A single thing beyond their tutored minds;
Too proud to show what truth might well demand
In my deep words the defects, theirs, define.
The more one learns the lonelier one will be
For the blind will never admit that they can’t see
