TIGERS IN THE BUSHES
Oft there lurks a Tiger in the bush,
Or beneath a stone a serpent lying still,
That often water needs a decent flush,
To clear away what may well cause us ill.
More oft than not, ‘tis those who choose to preach,
And make the claim how they do serve their Lord,
Who do not practice what their words do teach,
But brandish really a blunt misguided sword.
What one may claim is not enough for me,
It will reveal a better truth to cross his trail,
And it matters not if I do not agree,
Facts thus bared forever will prevail.
Thoughts of myself indeed do matter least,
And on my thoughts and words you all may feast.
