THE TRUTH IS HARD TO SHARE

The master of man is the dollar;
the pecuniary God,
‘Tis his fodder and his water
his acreage of sod.
Without it he is nothing
he has no power of voice,
Without it he is indignantly
left groping without choice.
We are judged by car and clothing,
position and religious face,
Looked upon suspiciously
if we are of a different race.
Oh yes the truth is hard to share,
When in life it has no place.
