THE NEW PRESIDENT

It is too early to tell if Obama
will change much, the status quo,
Or even steer us in a direction,
To where most of us would like to go.
A good man; but that means nothing,
He has much more to do than talk;
He has actually got to do something,
More than go into the park for a walk.
If he achieves as much as the last one,
Then he will have served his country proud,
For it took courage to do what he’s done,
While under the threat of a hostile crowd.
Let Obama first do what he must,
Before we offer him all of our trust.
