THE GREATEST SLAUGHTER

The greatest slaughter that has ever been
Was by Noah witnessed and by family seen.
For all human kind perished in the flood:
The bad the evil, and the very good.
Death by slaughter was this God’s harsh way,
Even the children perished in the fray.
Soldiers, priests and teachers of renown,
All were swept away to cruelly drown.
How much more callous could a human be,
Than the God he worships who might make him free,
For to fear such power is to graze the knee,
And beg and praise Him lest in death he be
Sent to the fires of a Satan’s hell
To reap the pain of savagery as well
