SILENCE
Have you known utter silence;
It lingers in that empty space,
Where in harmony with nature’s parlance,
It hides its ghostly face.
It is related to the spirits,
And dances with the breeze,
You can sometimes see its footprints,
Beneath the overhanging trees,
Upon the surface of the water,
where gentle ripples form,
Moving wider, ever wider,
Becoming invisibly calm
As they vanish into nothing,
Until silence is no more.
