REGRET
We regret sometimes; not being there,
Or even because we did not care,
And sometimes when with learning lost,
We are later faced with the tragic cost.
Though some know not regret at all,
Tis oft from ignorance that they fall,
For that which is not provided then,
Is oft a regret that lives in men,
Who eager to express their souls,
Have not the means to reach their goals,
And must accept a second place,
Where they might well have won the race,
For one deprived of basic rights,
Regrets the pain of lonely nights.
