POLITICALLY OFF THE MARK
And Senators can take a dive
If they decide to take a drive
In a land where we all own a car
and when of age can hit the bar
And basket ball players can leap,
if the hill gets really steep
into a van that goes beep! beep!
While justice is asleep!
And Presidents who we called ours
can leave a trail that start with Flowers
and end up in a real bad mess
That goes and stains a nice blue dress
And some can shout and preach,
and plan rockets the moon to reach
whom others would impeach,
or blow his brains out in the street
And Candidates can cause a frown
When they call New York – Hymie Town
In a land where we revere The Eagle
To kill a quail – just fine and legal
Especially with the heart I’ve got
And now the truth – I just forgot
The lame excuse – I’m just a man
I do it ‘cause I know I can
But we can all speculate…
assume and aggravate,
for we don’t have to ever face,
what we wish is his disgrace
Sometimes it’s just a judgment call
It’s legal but not shrewd at all
And history will bare evidence
A lot is just plain Negligence
Not sure about all that,
some are bowled out before they bat.
And those who seem to try
are the ones that seem to die.
