PERPETUAL SAMENESS
They shall be scorned; those who follow,
Being blamed for what they might tomorrow,
Leave for those whom they will scorn,
For in truth sweet wisdom will never be born.
All that we scorn in the world today,
Grows from the seeds of our own dismay,
From those before us who did the same,
Casting on their children all the blame.
Perpetual sameness; predictable error,
Changing words but not the terror,
Changing the structures of the rhyme,
But not the words lost in time…
And the earth will live while the sun doth last,
And life lives only in the past.
