PEBBLES

We may wallow in remorse,
But in sorrow we rejoice
For from sorrow comes the wisdom of love,
Sadness is an emotion
That anoints us with a potion
That warms us like a close fitting glove.
If you understand that passion
Is but a passing fashion,
Then you know infatuation is deceit.
Yet he who thinks he knows it all,
Due to his conceit, will fall
And ever be the victim of repeat.
