PEACE BE WITH YOU MY FRIEND
What lives in those stark staring eyes,
that scan the hills and scan the skies,
From where he sits in grief and dream,
With passing life still in between,
The realm of death and unknown place,
Where lives each cherished long loved face,
Wrapped in the peace of immortal cloud,
That obscures that which beyond the shroud,
Awaits the passing of our time,
To renew us for the true divine,
Who await us with such loving care,
That by us on Earth cannot compare,
For all we have is love and hope,
For as mortal men we cannot cope.
