PEACE AND GOODWILL
Peace must come from peaceful souls,
From our hearts deep within,
Uniting all our Totem Poles,
Regardless of our skin.
Peace must cling to every word,
As though afraid to fall,
On crows the wings of doves must gird
That there is no hate at all.
Peace must reign on Earth supreme,
That God and man do merge,
That all God’s truth man can redeem,
And all his defects purge.
Though peace, a dream, may not be seen
‘Tis peace we all must urge.
That there are people in the streets,
Most who are less than poor,
God’s purpose in our hearts defeats,
And leaves us all unsure.
Intolerance of another’s views,
Which we do fear as true,
Reflects the defects in our faith
That ignorance doth accrue.
The world will have a fighting corps,
A police force put in place,
To destroy the weeds long before,
They contaminate and disgrace.
So in your own hearts look before,
You condemn another’s face
