ON THE NET
An acerbic tone might be perceived in my sentence
That may disturb the reader and influence thought
In a way that is not the subject but a consequence,
Of an emotional reaction or retort.
But I am not standing in front of the person,
I can’t butt in, and force onto another my view,
Reading one line at a time is the lesson,
Considering the other persons confusion too.
What you sound like is not worth the guessing,
In what tone you might speak is not heard,
I cannot see what your face is expressing,
To contemplate your feelings is almost absurd.
I can but respond to the words you are writing,
Hoping understanding overcomes the unheard.
