MISCONCEPTION

The concept that nature is tranquil, is wrong,
Nature is a writhing struggling place,
We can be influenced by a birds beautiful song,
And fail to see the natural worlds true face.
Constant change and savage battle,
Define the way that nature works,
We slaughter sheep and also cattle,
And in all that lives a virus lurks.
Flowers are robbed of their succulent pollen,
Predators dine on babies in their nests,
Storms rage and rivers become swollen,
And ants march like men on many conquests.
There’s no place for tranquillity in nature,
Only brief moments of felicitous rest.
